DAY 01

Airport / Negombo

You would be met by your personal Chauffeur / Guide at the Airport and transferred to Negombo where you will spend the rest of the day at your leisure, recovering from your long flight.

DAY 02

Negombo / Udawalawe / Yala

Breakfast at the hotel then proceed to Tissamaharama through the lush Udawalawe Wildlife park

DAY 03

Yala / Kataragama / Yala

Morning at Leisure or take a drive around the local village & its surroundings An hour away from Tissa is the jungle shrine of Kataragama. It has great religious and historical significance that transcends race and religion. Ancient Kataragama brings together Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims and Christians that worship at its numerous temples of all faiths located within the sacred city. It is believed that King Dutugemunu, the warrior king and Sinhala folk hero, built a shrine here for the worship of the Kataragama God in the 2nd century BC. There is also a first century BC Buddhist Dagoba; Kirivehera, at this site. There are daily religious rituals called poojas around the Hindu God of War, Skanda, and other shrines. Smell the baskets laden with fruit and flowers as the burning incense hangs heavy in the air. You will hear bells being rung, chanting and the dashing of coconuts against the ground. Best time to visit the Temple would be early evening

Early start Game drive to Yala (Jeep Safari to Yala National Park) Yala National Park is the most popular national park in Sri Lanka. Established in 1938 with a land area of approx 121000 ha, this park is situated in the Hambantota and Monaragala district. It is home for all of the exotic animals and birds that are found in Sri Lanka.

DAY 05 to DAY 12

Yala – Unawatuna

Late Breakfast at your Hotel, and then we’ll proceed to Unawatuna. Along the way, we’ll take a break at the UNESCO heritage site, the Galle fortress, which was built by the Dutch in the 17th Century. A walk on the ramparts will give you an excellent view of the ancient harbor known as Tarshish in the Bible. We will pass the District Court and the original entrance to the Fort en route to the Dutch Reformed Church built in the 17th century. Galle has also become famous in the more recent past for the quality of boutique hotels, which have sprung up within the Fort. The New Town to the north of the Fort was badly affected by the tsunami in 2004. Galle is the home of the famous International cricket stadium, which has since been re-built. You will get the opportunity to watch the unique Still fishermen in Weligama & the local fisherman draw their nets.

Evening at Leisure & continue your BEACH STAY (The vehicle would drop you off & return for Airport Transfer)
